Which-50 sells to Boardroom Media increase service offering

B2B digital publisher Which-50 has been acquired by Boardroom Media, a B2B publisher and media production company.

With its name derived from the famous John Wannamaker quote, Which-50 provides business intelligence on digital trends and business models to C-Suite executives, founders, and directors. The publisher also has a marketing services arm. 

Boardroom Media has a similar structure, being a publisher and media production services company. It offers webcasting, audio and video production, storyboarding, animation and podcasting services to ASX-listed companies, funds and professional services firms. 

In a post on the Which-50 website, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Andrew Birmingham said “Earlier this year we decided that the best way to ensure we could keep telling the stories of digital and business transformation – as we have since Which-50 began as a personal blog in 2013 – was as part of another business.” 

Which-50 and Boardroom Media entered into a partnership in April to enable Which-50 to scale their services to include video and audio interviews, streaming services and virtual events. 

At the time, Birmingham said that it had become clear from discussions with Which-50’s clients, that the publisher needed to quickly ramp up to provide more opportunities for its clients to reach their audience. 

Following the sale, Birmingham said “Boardroom Media’s complementary mission and business model, and its world-class digital and video facilities marked it out as the best fit that will allow us to enhance the way we tell your stories.

“I want to thank the Which-50 team who will begin transitioning across to Boardroom Media in the coming weeks. The team built an outstanding editorial product during the last few years that has been recognised in the main peer-reviewed industry awards (Go the Lizzies!) as the best of its kind in Australia.”
