Specialist niche publishing web developer The Code Co named WordPress VIP partner

Niche publishing web development agency The Code Company has been named as a WordPress VIP partner.

The Code Company specialises in large-scale re-platforming projects, data migrations and bespoke website builds for niche and specialty publishers, working exclusively with WordPress and partners to provide technical solutions to maximise readership and revenue.

The Queensland-based agency is one of three Australian organisations to be recognised by WordPress as a world-leading development agency.

As the largest and most trusted content management system, WordPress powers over 30 per cent of websites globally. The WordPress VIP program identifies the world’s best enterprise-grade agencies to become official partners.

The Code Company Director Ben May says “As a publisher, one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make is who to partner with for development. And as the sector continues to evolve, this decision has never been more crucial.”

May and his team have supported a number of high-profile digital publishing businesses to develop membership and subscription models, and navigate the complex world of personalised content and advertising.

The partnership with WordPress VIP comes as The Code Company celebrates a number of significant client wins and two new hires.

“Given our extensive publishing client base, it makes sense for us to partner with one of, if not the biggest, name in enterprise platforms. We’re honoured to have been selected as a WordPress VIP partner and look forward to sharing these benefits with our clients,” says May.

The Code Company was founded in 2010 and comprises a cross-functional mix of developers, with expertise in practices such as data and content migrations, technical scaling and optimisations, ad tech and content distribution strategists.

The Code Company’s current and past clients include Bauer Media, Woolworths, The Australian Government, FTI Consulting, Nine, Private Media, Pedestrian Group, REA Group, DC Power, Future Women, and The Squiz.
