Australia’s 2019 top Google searches: are you using them to build your 2020 content calendar?

Google Australia has released the top search queries made by Australians during 2019. Some searches reflect local and world events and personalities, others focus on DIY, recipes, ‘how to’ and ‘what is’. All queries will be of interest to consumer-focused special interest magazines and websites in developing their content calendar leading into 2020.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who gets excited for Google to release its list of top search queries each year. There’s something gratifying about finding out what Australians are the most curious about. But it’s also very useful in developing your content pipeline for the start of the next year.

Usually, the most popular search queries are most relevant to consumer titles, unless you’re a B2B publication that wants to get creative.
