Australian Magazine Awards finalists unveiled

Finalists for the 2019 Australian Magazine Awards have been announced, including niche magazine publishers within the special interest and regional magazine brand categories.

The Australian Magazine Awards provide Australian magazine publishers with the opportunity to be rewarded and recognised for excellence. The 2019 awards are sponsored by emma, Nielsen, Ovato, Blue Star Web and Magazine Networks

This year, organiser AdNews Australia added new categories to the awards line-up in a bid to encourage nominations from niche publishers

Finalists for the special interest magazine brand of the year include:  

Regional magazine brand of the year finalists include: 

COAST Publishing is also a finalist in the photographer of the year category. 

Other niche publisher finalists include Man of Many for digital magazine brand of the year, and Schwartz Media for podcast of the year (7am), sales team of the year, and cover of the year (The Monthly, April edition). 

Custom publisher Medium Rare Content Agency is listed as a finalist in seven categories, including four finalists for Editor of the year, two entries for custom magazine of the year, and two finalists for designer of the year. 

Other finalists include Pacific Magazines, Bauer Media, News Corp Australia and NINE.

The Australian Magazine Awards takes place on Wednesday 20 November, Upstairs at the Beresford, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Tickets for the event are available here.
